The Complete Guide to Coach Bags
Coach was founded in 1941 to make men’s small leather goods, and women’s handbags came later before becoming the heart of the brand. These days, coach handbags stretch from tailored shoulder bags and soft hobos to satchels, carryalls, crossbodies and reissues from the archive. This guide takes each main line in turn, covering what the bag is, when it appeared and how it is made. A number of popular lines have no reliable launch year on record, so launch dates are given here only where they are documented.
As opposed to being taken from an official price list, the prices here are observed market prices from 2026, and size, material and promotions can all change them. Similar names can label completely different designs, something useful to know before buying your first coach bag. A search for “couch bag”, which some buyers type when looking for a Coach bag, can pull listings for furniture into the results since the word also refers to a sofa.
The Tabby
The Tabby is a neatly structured shoulder bag built to be worn crossbody as well, featuring detachable straps and Signature “C” hardware. Based on a shape from Coach’s 1970s archive, Stuart Vevers introduced it in 2019. Its launch campaign, “Dream It Real”, was reportedly lensed by photographer Juergen coach sales Teller. Sold under the main product name Tabby Shoulder Bag, it has shown up in sizes 20, 26 and 36.
Names such as Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 With Pillow Quilting refer to the puffy Pillow Tabby, which followed in 2021. The Tabby 26 was observed selling at $475 in the US and £475 in the UK, with quilted and special-edition versions listed above it. Because it shifts easily between shoulder and crossbody wear, it works well for buyers who want one bag for both day and evening.
The Brooklyn Family
Cut in natural-grain leather, the Brooklyn is a relaxed coach shoulder bag that is far closer to a hobo than to the structured Tabby. It appeared on the Fall 2024 runway and went on sale in August 2024. Reported listings point to two main sizes: the Brooklyn 28 and the bigger Brooklyn 39. Described as spacious enough for a 15-inch laptop, the 39 makes a practical work bag.
Separate from the shoulder styles, a newer Brooklyn Carryall shape was reported for Spring 2026. At John Lewis in the UK, the Brooklyn 28 was observed selling for £350. The Brooklyn was among the bags named after The RealReal’s 2025 resale report said searches for Coach had climbed 160%. This number, though, measures searches rather than resale prices.
The Rogue
Coach’s structured satchel is the Rogue, which comes with top handles and a shoulder strap. After its debut on the Fall 2016 runway, it was discontinued for a time and then came back in a 2021 relaunch. Including versions in regenerative leather and exotic skins, the line sits at the very top of Coach’s leather range. A Rogue 25 in alligator was observed at $8,000, the highest Coach bag price observed in 2026.
Reportedly, a Made-to-Order Rogue from Coach has taken around 12 weeks, or about 16 weeks with exotic materials. Restored Rogue bags have appeared through Coach (Re)Loved, the brand’s own resale and repair program. Plenty of collectors see the Rogue as proof of how far upmarket Coach craftsmanship can go.
The Empire Carryall Line
The Empire Carryall is a long, east-west top-handle bag named in listings as the Empire Carryall Bag 34. Having been shown on Coach’s Fall 2024 runway, it arrived in February 2025. Fashion press reported that it was sold out on its release day. Softer variants, called Soft Empire and including a Soft Empire 40, are distinct from the structured Carryall 34.
The Empire Carryall 34 was observed at £475 on Coach’s own site in the UK. Its long top-handle shape makes it a dressier alternative to a coach tote bag for everyday carrying. Because 34 and 40 are different bags, anyone comparing listings should check the number after the name.
The Kisslock Trio: Frame, Dreamer and Barrel
Kisslock is the name of a frame clasp modeled on vintage coin purses, a motif Coach connects with the Bonnie Cashin era. The term is shared by a number of different bags, which should not be confused. The Kisslock Frame Bag in glovetanned leather was reported as the opening look of the Fall 2026 show and was observed at $350. Earlier Kisslock Frame versions also turn up in listings, so the family may be older than that show.
Built with quilted nappa leather and rivets, the Kisslock Dreamer 21 is an older-generation style that now appears largely as restored or upcrafted pieces through Coach (Re)Loved. The Kisslock Barrel Bag is a Spring 2026 Coach Originals reissue modeled on a 1973 design. Adding yet another use of the name, a Kisslock Backpack was also unveiled for Fall 2026.
Swinger, Swing Zip and The Coach Originals
Pieces in The Coach Originals are new rather than vintage: the line is made up of newly made reissues of archive designs. Coach traces the original Swinger design back to 1987; today it is a short-strap, zip-top shoulder bag featuring a turnlock. Also available With Chain and in Signature canvas or jacquard, the Swinger Bag 20 is today’s version. The Swing Zip is a separate Coach Originals bag modeled on a 1998 design, so the two names are not one and the same.
Early 2025 reports named other Originals including the Safari Bag from 1968, the Dinky from 1974 and the Hamptons Hobo from 2005. The Coach Originals name was reportedly already in use by 2020. For buyers who want an archive look without the wear of a truly vintage piece, the line makes sense.
Soho: Bag 25, Flap and Sneaker
Soho is one of the most confusing names in the Coach catalog since it spans three different products. The original Soho Flap goes back to 2006. Unlike that 2006 bag, the Soho Bag 25 is a more compact, newer reissue, produced in materials such as glovetanned leather, patent leather and crystal jacquard. A Soho Flap Bag in regenerative leather has also been listed, and Soho styles belong to The Coach Originals.
By contrast, the Soho Sneaker is footwear, featured by Coach in 2025 and 2026, putting it alongside shoes and coach clothing rather than handbags. To separate the bags from the shoe, include “Bag 25” or “Flap” in a search. Consult Coach’s own website before buying, as no reliable current price for the Soho bags was captured.
The Willow, Cassie and Juliet Lines
None of the three lines has a documented launch year, familiar as they are, so treat with caution any date you see online. A Willow Bucket, a Willow Shoulder bag and the Willow Tote 24 have all belonged to Willow, a pebble-leather family. The Willow Tote 24 is a simple example of a coach tote bag, while Coach’s own website has also offered a Custom Willow Tote. The Cassie Crossbody Bag 19, fitted with a Signature turnlock and interchangeable straps, is part of Cassie, a crossbody and top-handle design.
Using newer style codes, Cassie styles have stayed listed on Coach’s own website. Offered in versions such as the Juliet Shoulder Bag 25 and the Pocket Juliet Bag 30, Juliet is a slouchy shoulder bag in glovetanned leather. Before relying on an older review, verify whether a given Willow, Cassie or Juliet style is still current, since availability changes by season.
Observed Prices: Each Line at a Glance
The table below pulls the main lines together with their shape, key date and an observed 2026 price where one was reliably captured. Rather than an official Coach price list, these are observed market prices that can vary with size, material, color and promotions. UK prices include VAT, while US prices do not include sales tax. At sale time, full-price styles can be marked down; a coach outlet, meanwhile, runs its own promotions on outlet styles.
Coach Outlet is Coach’s own official channel, sold through outlet stores and an official online outlet section on Coach’s own website. Coach’s head of investor relations, quoted in 2014, stated that roughly 85% of outlet merchandise was made specifically for the outlet channel. Tapestry has since discussed bringing some full-price collection product into outlets, and that figure is dated. For current-season lines, Coach’s own website or a full-price coach store continues to be the place to shop.
